Your local Communicare Administrator plays an important role in the management of your Communicare. They are empowered to perform the following tasks for you:
• Set up/reset your access to Communicare
• Password reset
• Address a locked conflict
• Manage report queries
Here are some useful resources, from our Knowledge Centre, to better support the important role that your Administrator plays on a day-to-day basis.
• Regular maintenance tasks for the Communicare Administrator – Regular Administrator Tasks
• Onboarding new staff – arrival and departure of staff – what to do
• Key administrator tasks performed by members of the System Administrator user group
The Communicare Service Desk does not generally perform these functions for your individual service. It is far more efficient for your local Administrator to perform these functions as the Service Desk is likely to have to request access to your server which may lead to delays in a response for you. Generally, your nominated Administrator will raise a ticket with our Communicare Service Desk in scenarios where they are unable to resolve admin tasks.
We also run monthly Communicare Superuser 3-day workshops which help to upskill new and old Communicare System Administrators. These workshops are a great way to learn what is required from a good Communicare System Administrator as well as a good networking opportunity where you can talk to others from other services. We’re told that this networking is a highly valued outcome of the workshops. Being able to discuss what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and then comparing to other services is really beneficial. Check out the following courses:
It is important that the local Communicare Administrator has visibility of the queries coming through to Communicare. We encourage your local Administrator/s to obtain free access to our Customer Portal and subscribe to our regular communications.
Lastly, don’t forget to nominate a temporary administrator, if your primary Communicare administrator goes on leave.
