Important Services Australia changes to authentication (PRODA)

Services Australia is making upgrades to their digital health and aged care channels. These upgrades will provide greater security to patient and provider information.
It is important that you understand these changes, as they will affect your health site if you use Communicare to submit claims to them.
Your Communicare must be upgraded if you use any of the channels below:
• Medicare Online
• Australian Immunisation Register – via Medicare Online
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs – via Medicare Online
• ECLIPSE
• PBS Online
• Aged Care
These changes must be operational before 13 March 2022.
We are currently updating Communicare to accommodate these changes that have been announced by Services Australia. These changes will be available to all Communicare customers in v21.3 scheduled for release at the end of October. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
