Risk with Cephalexin/Cefalexin Allergies and Alerts and Prescribing Interactive Warnings
MIMS has identified a gap with historical allergic reactions recorded using the obsolete spelling of Cephalexin. The outcome is that when prescribing Cefalexin, with the new spelling, the interactive alert does not display during the prescribing workflow.
This issue will be resolved in the July release of MIMS. Users should continue to exercise clinical judgement when prescribing Cefalosporin antibiotics.
