September’s Central Data Update has landed. Explore key changes to clinical items, reports, templates, and qualifiers.
Following August’s deactivation of the ANFPP clinical items and reports, the full dataset is now removed and is no longer visible in the database in line with the licensing requirements. This will not impact existing data captured for ANFPP previously.
Summary is now set on the qualifier properties so that when this qualifier is marked for a patient, their agreement is added to Qualifier Summary by default (although previously advised in the AOB Explantory Notes pack, this was not done until now).
This release also includes a number of updates to clinical items, qualifiers, reports, and templates including:
The Check Up: HU5K Child Health Checks that include tympanometry have been updated with the “Tympanometry L & R (general result)” qualifier to align with the new ear health clinical items and ensure consistent data collection.
The Smoking Pack-Years calculator has been revised to use fractional pack-year values.
Cervical screening management qualifier for the National Cervical Screening Program, has an added qualifier option for “CST in 3 years – immune deficient”.
Go4Fun and Get Health Service referral templates have been added for the NSW Centre for Population Health.
Procedures > Performed by date with qualifiers (export) – Encounter Program column added.
NT KPI Indicators 1.7 and 1.18 reports updated.
Locality and postcode information has been updated with the latest Australia Post Standard Postcode File (May 2023) which includes both localities and postcodes.

If you are a site that uses Data Synchronisation, please be aware that all offline laptops must be synchronised and all incoming files processed BEFORE a Central Update is performed. After an update, a backup is performed overnight and a new offline database is created. Download the new databases to all laptops before the offline clients are used again.
