Communicare has updated their systems audit offering, providing a newly updated detailed report that will assist you in the cleansing and maintenance of your Communicare database. The Communicare System Audit looks at three key areas: physical/technical, data consistency and database use.
The physical/technical review may identify a range of potential mechanical/physical issues such as server memory space, firewall settings and the security considerations of 3rd party software. It is important to regularly audit these components and implement effective strategies to manage and maintain an optimal server and network environment.
The data consistency and database review, looks at how staff use Communicare and identifies any inconsistencies. System Administrators, Managers and Team Leaders will then have the opportunity to address identified issues with appropriate coaching, training and a database cleanse. This will assist in addressing ongoing issues, allow changes to be made improving usability for clinicians and improve data collection feeding into the organisation’s reporting requirements. More accurate reporting helps to drive best practice changes, and accurately report funding requirements to state and federal bodies.
The audit takes a number of days, and your final report will help you prioritise your response through its traffic light system to identify priority issues.
